“I dedicated this interview with Michael Peterson to the writer Dorothy Parker. His life, to me, exemplifies what life truly is: absurd, regardless of whether he’s guilty or not (and I wonder if Michael feels the same.) The interview itself became an act of absurdity—or, perhaps more accurately, an attempt to impose meaning on absurdity, only to arrive at the realization that it’s a futile pursuit. At one point, while discussing voting, Michael said, “Keep pushing.” At that moment, I felt the interview had brushed against Dorothy’s spirit of satire… or so I hoped.

The interview became a journey through darkness, armed with humor—an attempt to find light, only to realize that maybe the search itself is the punchline. And in that realization lies the inspiration for more conversations like it.”
