Let’s Talk with Kat, is
an independent interview series delivering in-depth conversations with individuals at the center of nationally followed stories and public cases.
The show focuses on the people behind headlines, those connected to major cultural, criminal, and news events that continue to draw public interest long after they first appear in the media.
One of my most widely viewed interviews, featuring Crystal Mangum, went viral with over 100,000 views and led to national media coverage, including an appearance on CNN. I have also interviewed Michael Peterson (The Staircase) and Mark Tinsley, an attorney involved in the Alex Murdaugh case.
My background spans fashion, editorial, and creative media, where I gained experience in high-level visual storytelling and on-camera work. I have modeled for leading fashion publications, including Vogue and Elle. I was honored to be photographed by Peter Lindbergh for a Yohji Yamamoto advertising catalog, and by Steven Meisel for the Versus advertising campaign, where Edward Enninful was a stylist. These experiences shaped my understanding of visual narrative, on-camera presence, and the discipline required in professional media production, skills I now bring into my interviewing work.
Born in Ukraine and raised between Europe and the United States, I bring a global perspective and a strong curiosity about people from different backgrounds and life experiences.
I am currently a student at the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at the University of North Carolina (UNC), studying journalism while independently producing Let’s Talk with Kat.
What defines Let’s Talk with Kat is not just the guests, but the approach: direct questions and a focus on understanding the human experience behind public narratives.
“Talking nonsense is the sole privilege mankind possesses over the other organisms.
It's by talking nonsense that one gets to the truth! I talk nonsense, therefore I'm human.”
— Fyodor Dostoevsky
